Hey,
A few weeks ago, on my 50th birthday, I spent the day on some acreage with a friend of mine, Joe. He’s 88, and his life story is incredible. (If you want the full low-down, go check out my post from March 4.)
On our day exploring his property, I was continually reminded that life is anything but easy. Every single one of us experiences hardships – big, small, and every size in between. And when shit hits the fan, we have a choice to make: are we going to let it keep us down, or are we going to rise up and work through it?
A happy life doesn’t happen by chance. It takes intentionality, and it takes a whooooole lot of planning.
Think about it: the last thing you want to do is learn a new skill when you’re in the middle of a shitstorm.
I decided a long time ago that I would dedicate my life to mastering the happiness habits for one reason: I was sick of NOT being happy.
Like I’ve told you, life still gets me down, <<First Name>>. I am NOT the happiness guru. I am a practitioner of happiness, and my prescription is to prioritize my 5 happiness habits as often as I possibly can.
If you’re wanting life to feel a little more light and happy, pick one and start practicing:
1️⃣ Physical Activity
2️⃣ Gratitude
3️⃣ Random Acts of Kindness
4️⃣ Social Connections
5️⃣ Meditation
Happiness isn’t a matter of luck; it’s a matter of intention. 🍀
Speaking of luck – are you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day? If so, I’d love to hear what you’re doing to celebrate!
I’d also love to know which happiness habit you feel like you’ve got down? Which one could use some work on your end?
Here to support you, friend!
