In The Science Of Reading Course, you’ll learn the science behind how our brains learn to read and the research behind evidence-based practices that support literacy skills. Together, we unpack more than 5 decades of research-based instructional practices that incorporate multiple components of literacy including word recognition, orthographic mapping, phonics decoding, and language comprehension. We package these practices in lessons that we model for you so you can see in real time how to apply scientific reading instruction in your classroom and integrate science-based instruction with ease.
The curriculum for both the 15-hour course and the 80-hour course is identical; however, to complete the 80-hour course, participants must additionally complete all of the optional webinars and videos.

Most of our online course participants gain access through a school site license. Schools utilize this training in a variety of ways. Some allow self-paced PD while others utilize them during whole-staff meetings or PLCs. Schools like the bite-sized chunks to create understanding and a shared vision.

After completing each course and the relevant feedback forms are submitted, a certificate of completion will be sent to you. You will need to check with your local authority to ensure the certificate is allowed.
Sharing your log-in credentials or the on-demand course is not allowed. However, schools may purchase a site license to allow every teacher to have their own personal registration.
