Growth Mindset Workshop:

Boosting Student Motivation
and Achievement

Full Day Workshop:
July 19, 2023: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
7.5 Continuing Education Credit Hours

Growth mindset is linked to higher test scores and increased student well-being.

Many students come to school with a fixed mindset meaning they believe their intelligence, talents, and skills can't be developed and they cannot grow or change. This belief profoundly affects the way students engage in school and their success in life.

When students adopt a growth mindset, they view challenges as opportunities to progress toward their desired outcomes. Students who believe they can develop their talents and abilities see roadblocks and critical feedback as methods to gather information they could use to help themselves learn.

Full Day Workshop - July 19, 2023 - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

I’ve seen entire classrooms and schools adopt a growth mindset practice, and it has transformed the school culture into one that promotes positivity, happiness, and the value of growing.

Students engage in productive struggle and feel safe taking risks.

Students today don't easily demonstrate grit and resilience. Many tend to give up when they have to endure something difficult. Teaching students to enjoy challenges, exert effort, and overcome obstacles builds their confidence.

Help students download new belief systems and remove old, limiting ones.

Once students understand their emotions, we can direct them toward actions that build their resiliency and determination while also improving their overall well-being and academic performance.

Understand the neuroplasticity of the brain.

Our brains are malleable and with effort and persistence it can learn new skills. The brain “grows” when people learn new things, and, like muscles, it needs a challenge to truly benefit.

Failure is an opportunity for growth.

Learning from mistakes needs to become normal. When we shy away from challenges because we are afraid to fail, we inhibit our ability to grow. Recognizing faults and improving them helps students tap into their full potential.

In this full-day virtual live workshop, you and your staff will learn:

Our Growth Mindset training give you the implementation blueprint for how to teach a growth mindset curriculum.

Teaching students how to "productively" struggle and the value of grit and determination is critical in today's world. As I've observed and helped implement growth mindset in classrooms, I've seen students' attitudes improve and the overall culture of the classroom and school increase.

In this workshop, we show you how to talk about the research and make it bite-sized and relevant for students. And then we GIVE you the exact lesson plans, activities, and visuals you need to take these concepts to your classroom and empower your students the very next day.
