This past week as I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw this and immediately thought, “WOW! I need to share this with my community.”
I’ve had many dark nights of the soul. I’m sure I’m not alone on that, right?
- Hard experiences
- Injustices done to me by others
- Mistakes I’ve made
- People who have tried to bring me down… oh, the people who have tried…
Yet as I reflect on it, I feel like I probably needed almost all of these experiences because they led me to where I am today. 🙏🏼
I could have given up on myself a thousand times, as I’m sure you could, too. Times of feeling inadequate, deeply flawed, weak, and simply not good enough. My inner critic reared its ugly head more times than I can count.
But I couldn’t let it win. Some might call it stubbornness. Others might call it a deep knowing, but the truth is that when I dig into the deepest parts of who I am, I believe in me.
Even though it was hard to find at times, the fire in my belly has always been there, and it’s been loud enough to cause me to refuse to give up on me.
You have that too. If you look deep within yourself, I promise you it’s there.
You might be in a dark period right now, or maybe people have done you wrong, or you’ve made mistakes, or you have had past experiences that have affected you.
You’re not alone. We’ve all been there in our own ways. Sometimes, it’s in the valleys that we gain the skills to win.
The good news is you and only you are 100% responsible for your life. We can have compassion and extend kindness to the parts of our being that have been wounded and hurt. But we must step into our own light and own our worth in this world.
And it starts with YOU believing in yourself.
You must.
This is crucial.
It starts with you.
You are worthy of loving yourself no matter what. You must believe in yourself.
You must claim your space in this world and leave your mark. That divine spark of light is in you, too.
You are worth the wait.
Now go out and claim it.
You are meant to win!
…and it’s over to the editor! I can’t wait to get it into your hands in the next couple of months.
But first, I’d love your help with the subtitle. Check out my Facebook post from this week to weigh in on the decision. I would love to hear from you!
