Iโ€™m excited to let you know that Iโ€™ve just wrapped up a major project โ€“ a complete revamp of our Trauma-Informed Practices Online Course.

Itโ€™s been a challenging but incredibly fulfilling journey, and I canโ€™t wait to share the updated course with you!

For those who might be less familiar, childhood trauma can have a profound impact on studentsโ€™ behavior and learning. Many of the challenges we see in the classroom are linked to experiences like abuse, neglect, or family instability.

These aren’t just โ€œbadโ€ behaviors; theyโ€™re often signs of deeper struggles stemming from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Here are some eye-opening statistics:

– 1 in 3 U.S. children has faced at least one ACE.

– 1 in 7 have encountered two or more ACEs.

– By age four, 26% of children will have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event.

Our updated course dives into understanding these challenges and offers practical strategies for supporting students in a compassionate, trauma-informed way. The goal is to help us create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their past experiences.

Here’s what you get when you enroll in the Trauma-Informed Online Course:

โžก๏ธ 10 Trauma-Informed Instructional Modules
โžก๏ธ Access to the course for 9 months
โžก๏ธ Digital Resource Bundle: Lifetime Access to Resources
โžก๏ธ Self-paced and flexible learning
โžก๏ธ 12 hours of Professional Growth Points & Completion Certificate
โžก๏ธ Downloadable Handout for Note-Taking

One quote that really inspired me throughout this project is: โ€œAll of the risk factors for adverse experiences can be offset by the presence of a stable, caring adult in a childโ€™s life.โ€

This course is designed to help us be that stable, caring presence for our students.
