It’s My Birthday! Hello 50!

What's next for me text beside balloons.

Hey,

Remember when you were young, and fifty seemed old? Some of you youngins reading this are thinking, “Kim, this is old.” 😆

I am here to let you know that age is just a number, babe. You are only as old as you feel; fifty is the new twenty-five. I’ve always said my magic number is twenty-eight. That’s how I feel on the inside. 🙌🏻

Growing older is a privilege, not a right, so I’m embracing my 50!

I am so excited to share my birthday with you, and to remind you that you are never too old to do what you dream of.

[Before we dream together, I just can’t wait any longer to give you a birthday gift! It’s something I’ve never done before, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

What will the theme of your life be over the next ten years? Not a single one of us can be certain what the future holds…

But my intention as I embark on my 50s is EXPANSION and feeling FULLY ALIVE.

I want to be more present. I want to go inward and spend more time peeling back more layers of who Kim is in the deepest recesses of her being. I want to know the 50-something me in a deeper, more intimate, more sacred way.

I desire more time for play, experiences, hobbies, and doing the things that nurture my spirit. For example, I want to walk the El Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile spiritual walk across Spain that should take me thirty days.

I want to attend a deeply spiritual retreat, work with a shaman, and heal the wounded parts of me.

I wish to travel to Europe and explore.

I hope for more walks in nature and time to just take in the sweetness of life all around me.

But I’m secretly worried I will keep putting these aspirations off. I’m scared to leave my dogs for four weeks! The hubby will be fine, but my dogs? They are glued to me.

I’m afraid I won’t have the courage to attend the Bali Retreat, which has been on my vision board for ten years! Will I take the leap and go to Bali for two weeks this fall, or will I chicken out?

Ugg…I hope I start my 50s by saying “YES” to things that make me feel alive. I want to quit making excuses for not doing “the things.”

I want to fall even more in love with being alive.
